Africa Reformation Theological Seminary (ARTS) seeks to catalyze the work of the local church through thoughtful theological education and preparation.
The church is God’s agent for his work in his world. manifold wisdom to cosmic powers as the writer of Ephesians puts it.
Our commitment to the Church surpasses denominational lines, and presses into the responsibility to equip reliable men who are able to teach others.
Our network of friends including multiple visiting Faculty, and supporters, however cuts across denominations to represent the central work of Christ expressed in our different expressions of ministry.
Multiple Reformed and Presbyterian churches often serve our students with their teams of ordained ministers.
The student community is similarly representative of this lot, eager to mine the treasures of Scripture and the beauty and balance of reformation theology.
We continue to welcome all students serious about the Bible and sincere in their pursuit of theological education,
So far, our array of student representation has featured, African Inland Church, Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Independent, Pentecostal, Presbyterian Church in Uganda, Reformed Presbyterian Church of Uganda, African Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Kenya, Presbyterian Church in Malawi, City Presbyterian Church of Zimbabwe, and the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan.
We Acknowledge that our mission (to educate present and future Pastors, church planters, evangelists, biblical counselors and church leaders) carries with it a special calling and responsibility to train and equip them for several African reformed and Presbyterian denominations
In the future, many other African reformed denominations may be represented among our students. ARTS sees this as a great privilege and call to leverage a continuum of pastors and preachers for the many churches of Africa, particularly, but not only, these reformed and Presbyterian denominations.
Our vision is to impact many denominations with sound biblical and reformation theology and practice, and the gospel of grace across the African continent, from which the world can eventually receive.
