ARTS hosts an historic book launch.

On December 1, 2023, ARTS hosted an historic event, a book launch for the publication of A Survey of Presbyterian Mission History in Africa: Historic Beginnings (c.1790s to c.1930s). Volume 1. Published by Barnabas Academic Publishers of Wellington, Western Cape, South Africa, Volume 1 is 780 pages. Volume 2 is scheduled for release in 2024. The publisher released copies of Volume 1 in late November. The first volume is edited by ARTS Lecturer, Dr. Jack Whytock. ARTS graduates made these contributions:

  1. Ezra E. Kwizera (MDiv 2022) wrote chapter 22, “History of Presbyterians in Rwanda.”
  2. Milton Lipa (MDiv 2022) wrote chapter 23, “The American United Presbyterian Church and Its Mission in Egypt: Pioneering Efforts.”
  3. Andrew Okuch Ojullo (MDiv 2019) wrote chapter 24, “Presbyterianism in Sudan, c.1890s to c.1950 (Part One).”

In June 2016, ARTS began the application process to register and be accredited by the National Council of Higher Education of Uganda (NCHE). NCHE is the tertiary educational regulatory agency of the Ugandan government. On December 19, 2016, ARTS was granted a provisional license by NCHE. ARTS began offering NCHE-accredited courses in January 9, 2017.
