Announcement Concerning ARTS Semester 2, 2021

From the ARTS Administration Committee

August 2, 2021

In light of President Yoweri Museveni’s address of Friday, July 30 and that Uganda schools will remain closed due to Covid-19, the ARTS Administration Committee (AC) regretfully announces that ARTS will be postponing Semester 2, 2021, originally scheduled for August 2 to December 3. ARTS will, Lord willing, re-open for Semester 1, 2022, beginning with the January Term Greek courses on January 3.

The AC acknowledges that this is a very painful conclusion for the whole ARTS community, that ARTS has no other option, and that our comfort lies in the sovereign plans and purposes of our God, who has promised to bring good out of all circumstances for Christ’s church.

Please take up your privilege and responsibility to pray for lecturers, for the AC and for students and their families and ministries during this extended closure that now includes three and a half semesters. Pray for wisdom for members of the AC and lecturers who will be focused on completing and submitting the charter application to the National Council For Higher Education. Pray for the ARTS family to trust God’s provisions and protections during this difficult time and to bear much fruit for Christ’s Kingdom.

Welcome to Africa Reformation Theological Seminary’s website.

Thank you for visiting the ARTS website. We are glad you are here. In June 2016, ARTS began the application process to register and be accredited by the National Council of Higher Education of Uganda (NCHE). NCHE is the tertiary educational regulatory agency of the Ugandan government. On December 19, 2016, ARTS was granted a provisional license by NCHE. ARTS began offering NCHE-accredited courses in January 9, 2017.
